FASHION SHOWS

I had an opportunity to participate in Mysore Fashion Week in 2018 where I showcased two garments.

The main theme was Madhubani art which is a traditional art form from Bihar, India.

My take on this concept was to interpret this traditional art form to create an Indo western look.
The first look is a draped asymmetric dress with a screen printed motif detailed with pearls and interesting embroidery using Safety Pins. The second look consists of a jumpsuit and an asymmetrical cape with engineered placement of print.

The HLabel Show

I participated in The HLabel Show in 2017, which is an annual fashion show conducted in our college.

This collection was inspired by Ganjifa Cards, playing cards used by emperors and kings.

The collection consists of hand-drawn intricate motifs which were made into screens and blocks and then printed on the fabric.
We have a range of sarees, tunics, co-ord sets, and maxis.
It is a team project consisting of six members.
